When ready to return items on loan to you, please follow the directions below:

  1. Packaging Guidelines
    1. Package items securely to prevent loss or damage. Note, the user is responsible for losses incurred during return shipment.
    2. Use a sturdy, rigid box with flaps intact to package materials for shipment.
    3. Remove any labels, hazardous materials indicators, and other previous shipment markings on the box that are no longer applicable.
    4. Wrap items individually with cushioning material and center them away from the sides, corners, top, and bottom of the box. Use fillers like crumpled newspaper, loose fill peanuts, or air-cellular cushioning material such as Bubble Wrap® to fill void spaces and prevent movement of goods inside the box during shipping.
    5. Use strong tape designed for shipping to securely seal your package. Do not use string or paper over-wrap.
    6. Please include your contact information including email address and phone number inside the package.
  2. Returning Library Materials On Loan To You
    1. Please use the prepaid FedEx Return Shipment label that was enclosed with the original package to return library materials. Note: Only library materials charged to your account may be returned using the enclosed return shipment label.
    2. You can drop off your package at one of 60,000+ retail and contactless FedEx® Drop Box locations. Find a nearby drop off location by visiting: https://local.fedex.com/en-us/
    3. Please contact ask@libanswers.emory.edu with any questions regarding your library account.
