On January 12, 2015, the Emory Libraries implemented the same login process in the library for accessing e-books, e-journals, databases and other library licensed content online as is currently used by other Emory resources, such as Compass and HR Self-Service. Authorized Emory University and Healthcare faculty, staff and students will be required to use their netid and password to login only once per session when accessing library licensed content both on and off campus.
You will need to begin the process of accessing e-books, e-journals, and databases from a library webpage. You can begin with the library you visit most frequently or directly from discoverE. Beginning with an Emory library webpage identifies you as affiliated with Emory and will provide the most complete access to resources the libraries have licensed. If you have previously bookmarked e-journals, e-books or databases, you will need to redo these bookmarks by accessing the bookmarked resource from a library page, and bookmarking it again. This process will only need to be completed once, and the new bookmark will include "proxy.library.emory.edu" which will properly identify you as affiliated with Emory.
If you have further questions about this change, please direct those questions to ASKEJOURNALS@listserv.cc.EMORY.EDU or if you are healthcare, you should contact the Woodruff Health Sciences Library using their Ask a Librarian form.
