To generate quick copy-and-paste citations:

  • You can copy and paste a reference cited in APA, MLA or Chicago style directly from many of the library databases and from Google Scholar.
  • Or you can use BibMe or EasyBib or some other online citation generator.

For advanced research, a citation manager can save you hours by keeping track of your sources and formatting your bibliographies. Woodruff Library offers workshops on these citation programs:

  • Zotero is easy to learn and free to any user and connects to the Chrome, Safari, and Firefox browsers.
  • EndNote and EndNote Web are available at no cost to Emory students, faculty and staff.
